A brand new lemonade stand, aptly named John Lemon, just opened today!
With a name as refreshing as the drink it sells, expectations were naturally high. I’m thrilled to report that these expectations were not only met, but exceeded. As of today, July 16th, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Koichiro and Yukari (an echo of John and Yoko, perhaps?), have established their operation in Keya, Itoshima.
They’ve strategically parked their kitchen car next to the popular Loiter Market gelato stand. On opening day, we had the pleasure of sampling their foundational offering: a delightful lemon squash soda. It is a masterful blend of fresh domestic lemons, honey, spices, and ginger, crafted with a unique technique perfected by the couple themselves. The result is a drink that strikes the perfect balance – neither too tart nor too sweet, but remarkably refreshing.
While their current menu might be minimalist, there are plans for an expansion soon. We can look forward to a variety of other lemon-infused beverages, snacks, and items.
