Chihiro Miyata, a landscape painter known for her depictions of Itoshima, will hold a solo exhibition at Kozai no Mori (the former Nishihara Residence), a historic building in Maebaru Shopping Street. This annual exhibition, named “Impressionist Exhibition,” has been held since 2018 and will feature approximately 30 new works available for purchase. Miyata’s paintings capture the essence of Itoshima’s nature and its light, evoking a sense of nostalgia that goes beyond photography. This year, there will also be a concurrent “Small Abstract Exhibition” at Coffee Sazanami, located across from the venue, showcasing the palettes used in her landscape paintings.
