Itoshima, known not only for its natural beauty but also as a creative hub, is home to over 100 studios and galleries. Once a year, local artists and craftspeople come together to present their work and connect with visitors at the Itoshima Craft Festival. Now in its 17th year, the 2025 edition will feature 53 artists and makers—many of whom have recently relocated to Itoshima—working in ceramics, wood, leather, textiles, glass, metal, and more. In addition to the craft market, the open-air venue includes a food area with 24 popular Itoshima-based vendors offering sweets and meals from kitchen cars, as well as a workshop area where visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences. Each day draws large crowds eager to interact with the makers and soak in the uniquely warm and local atmosphere of Itoshima.
